Hello and welcome! I’m Eric Kaylor, an experienced technology professional who partners with clients to transform their business strengths, goals, and branding elements into a powerful online presence. I specialize in owner-operator, microbusiness, and small to medium.
To create a great website for each client, my first step is to fully understand their vision. We discuss goals for the business as a whole and for the site itself, plus some specifics around site content and functionality. Ultimately we arrive at the best solution for that client’s audience.
Who am I – my qualifications, my business experience? I worked several jobs my youth including 2 years as a professional newspaper reporter/writer, and have many more years of writing and editing experience. I’m the primary copy writer for my websites.
I later graduated from Ohio State University with a BS-CIS in Computer Science (through the College of Engineering). During my subsequent career in Technology, I was initially a developer for 6 years, and then worked extensively in management, planning, and team leadership roles (program and project manager, software & web release manager, agile scrum master, and more). During these years, I’ve been fortunate enough to lead and to learn from some of the top web professionals in the US, Europe, and Asia: developers, testers, engineers, operational experts, etc. And my teams completed hundreds of successful IT projects and stories & epics (agile/scrum), as I’ve partnered with numerous managers, directors, and senior leaders including officers.
I have had great experiences in small and large organizations (Accenture, American Express, Chipotle Mexican Grill, JP Morgan Chase, McGraw-Hill Education, Williams Sonoma). I have led end-to-end website building and enhancement, as well as other highly complex projects – some relatively quick and others with budgets of more than $100 million.
In addition to my corporate roles, I have built, enhanced and supported a few sites over the past 15 years. I continually research and study WordPress and other leading web development tools and methods in order to provide the best possible user experience.
In the second half of 2024, I am completing projects for a few clients. When those sites are approved and launched, I’ll create a blog post with the links.
To discuss your new site now, please contact me for a complementary intro call or messaging session!
